You'll combine sharp analytical thinking with business acumen to answer not only "what happened?" but more importantly, "what should we do next?"

The Requirements

- 7+ years of progressive finance experience, including meaningful experience in FP&A, investment banking, management consulting, high-growth startups, or similar environments
- Demonstrated success influencing business strategy through data-driven financial analysis
- Strong understanding of unit economics, cohort analysis, contribution margin, customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, and subscription or marketplace business models
- Experience building financial models that support strategic decision-making and scenario planning
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable business recommendations
- Prior leadership experience managing finance and/or accounting teams
- Highly analytical with the ability to form sound recommendations in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience supporting venture-backed or high-growth technology companies
- Exposure to marketplace, subscription, SaaS, or consumer services business models
- CPA, CFA, MBA, or other advanced financial credentials

Lead Financial Strategy and Provide Insight That Drives Better Business Decisions
As Director of Finance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, helping the company evaluate opportunities, navigate trade-offs, and allocate resources effectively. You'll oversee financial planning, forecasting, reporting, accounting operations, and team development while ensuring that financial analysis remains a strategic enabler of growth.
- Partner with executive leadership to transform financial data into strategic recommendations related to pricing, growth initiatives, investments, and resource allocation
- Develop and maintain robust financial models that support decision-making across the business
- Analyze operating trends, cohort performance, and key business drivers to identify opportunities and risks before they impact financial results
- Evaluate new initiatives, partnerships, and investments through thoughtful and efficient financial analysis
- Establish deep expertise in key metrics, including CAC, LTV, revenue retention, contribution margin, and other critical business indicators
- Lead and develop Finance and Accounting teams, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and analytical excellence
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities while ensuring teams remain focused on actionable business insights
- Maintain accurate, consistent, and audit-ready financial reporting and internal controls
- Manage cash flow, treasury activities, and company runway to provide leadership with visibility into financial performance and liquidity
- Coordinate tax strategy and compliance activities in partnership with external advisors
- Drive annual budgeting and planning processes that align organizational priorities and strategic objectives
- Maintain rolling forecasts that reflect real-time business dynamics and changing market conditions
- Build scenario analyses and financial models that help leadership evaluate alternative growth paths and strategic decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities as the company scales
- Serve as a collaborative business partner across departments to drive informed, data-backed decision-making
