The Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the General Counsel will oversee all legal matters for the company—balancing risk management with business momentum. You’ll shape legal strategy, strengthen governance, and ensure compliance as Homeaglow scales its platform and expands into new services.

This role goes beyond legal defense; it’s about enabling thoughtful, confident growth while protecting the company, its customers, and its service professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Legal Strategy & Advisory

• Serve as a strategic legal advisor to the CEO, President, and executive team
• Align legal approaches with overall business objectives
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risk

Corporate Governance

• Advise on governance best practices and support Board operations
• Ensure compliance with bylaws, charters, and corporate policies

Regulatory Compliance

• Oversee compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including worker classification and advertising laws
• Develop and monitor company-wide compliance programs
• Manage regulatory inquiries and internal investigations

Contracts, Transactions & IP

• Oversee drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts
• Provide legal support for M&A, partnerships, financing, and strategic transactions
• Protect intellectual property and proprietary assets

Litigation & Risk Management

• Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution
• Select and oversee outside counsel and legal budgets
• Advise on enterprise risk management, insurance coverage, and crisis response

Leadership

• Build and lead the internal legal function
• Manage departmental budget
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Product, and Compliance
